      Music Appreciation

      This is a weekly activity. You can select from a number composers and musical pieces. Our Kindergarten children have a resource to teach you the basics of music appreciation.

      Art Appreciation

      This is a weekly activity. You can select the art work you wish to study as a family. Our Art Appreciation course comes with four year's worth of picture study suggestions.

      Primary Art Lessons

      New for 2024: Enjoy a series of step by step video lessons that will teach your child how to draw and paint. These are great to do as a group activity.

      First Maths Lessons - Year One

      Offering 3 lessons per week this is a full year maths course aligned to the Australian Curriculum and NSW Syllabus inspired by the Charlotte Mason method and current good practice and provides a range of hands-on activities for your child each week to practice and enjoy maths.

      Adventures in Living Maths Year One: Week 1

      Are you looking for a way to ensure your child loves and understands maths? Do you want to teach your child different strategies for working mathematically? Then our Adventures in Living Mathematics is for you.  Created specifically for the younger student, this resource offers weekly lessons that encourages students to use hands-on methods for working through complex mathematical concepts, all designed specifically for the homeschool context.   New NSW Mathematics Syllabus content included.

      Primary Language Lessons 1: Lessons 4 - 6

      This is a key resource which is used three times per week throughout the year. It includes a variety of lessons that follow a Charlotte Mason approach to learning English. Comprehension lessons are done using narration and conversation. Children are encouraged to explain what they are seeing as a pre-writing skill. Spelling, grammar and punctuation are taught by using sentences and Dolch word lists. In Year One reading begins with simple sentences and phrases, designed to build confidence in your little scholar.

      This resource has been written so you can pick up and start the lesson without preparation. Lessons are short, taking a maximum of 15 minutes. Many lessons can be done orally so your child will not get bogged down in worksheets. You don’t need to buy any other books to complete this resource as all of the relevant passages are all provided. Written lessons are completed in a notebook (or exercise book) so there is no extra printing of worksheets. An answer guide is provided to help parents with quick checking.

      Building Literacy Grade 1: Week 1

      Encourage and build better outcomes in literacy for your child by using My Homeschool’s phonics-based approach to spelling. While many programs examine phonics only for reading, Building Literacy will ensure that you are instructing your child in solid phonics for spelling strategies too.  With a greater emphasis on phonics in the Australian Curriculum and NSW English Syllabus, you can be confident knowing that you can include this important aspect of English in your homeschool. Each resource has been designed to meet the Australian standards for phonological awareness.

      Kitchen Chemistry: Lesson 2

      This year we offer you a way to teach Chemistry and Physics in a meaningful way for your young child.  Using both living books and some hands-on ideas  (that don’t require complicated supplies or processes).

      History: Travels and Treasured Objects – Lesson 2

      Examine aspects of Australian and World History using beautiful Living Books that share the stories and the study of history in a meaningful way.

      Nature Study: The Coastal Environment – Rockpools and/or NZ Nature Stories

      First Maths Practice Activities - Week 1 - Weekly practice activities, read-alouds, games and practice sheets are provided to support the First Maths Lessons resource. A great way to practice those maths skills
