Year 5 includes an overview of Australian history with Our Sunburnt Country by Arthur Baillie . It includes First Australians, European explorers to modern times. We study primary and secondary resources. We also have a selection of historical fiction, literature and poetry from different periods that will help your child become acquainted with Australian history.
This resource is also used with a Book of Centuries and our Australian History Notebook.
