This is our Middle Ages history living book for Year 4. Your child will learn about the Magna Carta, citizenship, monarchies, dictatorships, good and bad governance and rules.
Short chapters are given for read aloud lessons and oral narration. An optional history notebook can also be completed. Some historical fiction has been suggested appropriate to the period studied. These would also be read aloud.
The goal is not for children to memorise names and dates but rather to understand the flow of history. This is the beginning of their history studies which will be covered again in the high school years.
