Choose Your Own Maths Curriculum

At My Homeschool you choose your own mathematics program from Year 3.

A good maths program is slow and steady, using a careful progression to unfold ideas and concepts gradually and allowing time for mastery. A good maths program will also teach mathematical terms to increase your child’s maths vocabulary and include opportunities to review concepts and skills taught.  Encourage your child to work with accuracy and neatness and to use manipulatives that you have on hand.

You can supplement your math textbooks with math games, cooking and activities which include measuring and money counting.

We give you more information on choosing your core maths curriculum and some recommendations in our course introductions after purchase.

To determine how much of your maths program to complete each week, simply divide the topics into four terms to determine the amount of work to be completed in each week of term. Expect to spend no more than 30 minutes each day on maths.

My Homeschool members also get access to our 50% discount through Maths Online. Please note we get no financial incentives in recommending this programs. We chose it because we know it has worked for us and many other home educators. It also follows the Australian and NSW Curriculum.
