      Music Appreciation

      This is a weekly activity. You can select from a number composers and musical pieces. Our Kindergarten children have a resource to teach you the basics of music appreciation.

      Art Appreciation

      This is a weekly activity. You can select the art work you wish to study as a family. Our Art Appreciation course comes with four year's worth of picture study suggestions.

      Primary Art Lessons

      New for 2024: Enjoy a series of step by step video lessons that will teach your child how to draw and paint. These are great to do as a group activity.

      Primary Language Lessons: Foundation Year - Lessons 1 - 3

      The Kindergarten program includes phonics, reading, spelling, studying pictures, comprehension, conversation, poetry and much more.

      Blinky Bill Alphabet and Numbers Copywork - the letter l

      A simple handwriting resource teaching children letter strokes in a sequential way. 

      Note: We know children coming into Foundation Year will have differing levels of ability with handwriting. This resource starts assuming your child needs to learn about correct letter formation. Use this resource to suit the needs of your child and their ability to write letters correctly.

      Own Choice Reading Program

      A large component of your English program in Foundation Year and Year One will be teaching your child how to read.  This will be done through Teaching Reading the Charlotte Mason Way provided with your Kindergarten course and through your chosen reading program.  Comprehensive information on the best phonics-based reading program for you to use in your homeschool is included in the English Lessons section of our Homeschool Teaching 101 for My Homeschool members.

      Building Literacy: Foundation Year- Lesson 1

      Encourage and build better outcomes in literacy for your child by using My Homeschool’s phonics-based approach to spelling. While many programs examine phonics only for reading, Building Literacy will ensure that you are instructing your child in solid phonics for spelling strategies too.  With a greater emphasis on phonics in the Australian Curriculum and NSW English Syllabus, you can be confident knowing that you can include this important aspect of English in your homeschool. Each resource has been designed to meet the Australian standards for phonological awareness.

      Animal Tales - Lesson 1

      This resource engages your young child by teaching them about the world around them and animals near and far. It is a global offering, taking your child on a trip around the world to pique their curiosity about the many different types of animals that can be found on the seven continents of the world and in our oceans. It is a very first look at zoology and is just one of the four resources offered in our full Kindergarten course.
