My Homeschool Music Appreciation Courses incorporate the study of a variety of composers, their life and music and are studied once a week all year. Two music appreciation courses focusing specifically on composers from the modern era are included in the Year 9A course, designed for students of this age and to complement the era of history being studied. This includes Baroque and Classical, a one term resource examining key composers from the Baroque and Classica eras, including JS Bach and Handel and Mozart and Beethoven.

My Homeschool families have access to a range of online Art Appreciation Courses which examine the study of artists, their work, and techniques. Across all grades these are studied once a week all year.

In the Year 9 and 10 courses additional specific Art and Music Appreciation Courses are provided for high school students. Art With The Fauves and Capturing Modernity Through Photographs are included in the Year 9A course. Each of these courses run for one term and offer students the opportunity to examine these aspects of art history in detail. They are fully online and include notes to guide your teenager to better understand and appreciate these artworks. Art With The Fauves also includes art exercises to stretch and extend your teenager in various artistic pursuits and to give some variety in the way that you may have approached art appreciation in previous grades.

All of these activities have been designed to curate a broad educational feast for your teenager and to encourage them to continue to develop their skills and abilities within a range of areas.
